Welcome to the SHRM 2009 Annual Conference and Exposition volunteers’ website. From here you can find everything you need to know about being a volunteer.

Becoming a SHRM Conference volunteer has a number of outstanding benefits. First, you earn one complimentary conference day for each shift you complete. And, if you complete 3 shifts, your entire conference is free! Also, you get the unique experience of working side-by-side with fellow HR professionals in the pursuit of making the conference an unforgettable experience for everyone. And finally, you’ll be doing all of this while enjoying the awesome fun, food, music and entertainment of one of the world’s great host cities – New Orleans!

Remember that volunteering is only open to current members of SHRM or its affiliate chapters. Also, at this time, volunteer positions are only available to members from Louisiana. If we are unable to fill all the shifts, we will then recruit applicants from members in the surrounding states of Mississippi and Arkansas. If we still need volunteers after that, we can then consider members from all other areas. So, even if you are not from the area, you may still register. Should we then begin to utilize volunteers from outside of the area; your name will be in line on a “first come, first served” basis.
